Panda eyes.

The past few weeks has been very hectic for us. Dear has been really busy recently and I have to take on some of of his task. So I ended up in the car with the kids and that can be a major caused of stress, frustration. My motto is simple. Avoid peak hours. But sometimes its just not possible. No wonder I spotted some white hair and more wrinkles.
My mother in law was asking me to try on those eye bag treatment she saw on TV. Ha!! She said I should put on the boys too. Goodness.... then I realised that the boys had the Panda bear eyes too.

I definitely have doubts that it could un-Panda us.

Don't blink your eyes.

You can get a nice teeth like me if you use Kodomo Lion !!!

I took this photo right after he woke up. Look at him, he was soo thrilled being able to fit in Adam's old Pyjama. Hey... big boy oledi leh !!

Catch of the day !!

Adam took this as mommy was not brave enough to go near to take a nice shot. The photo may look like a little lizard in a basket. But believe me, its huge and scary.

It was actually caught by one of the neighbour. Big commotion, man !!! The whole "kampung' both young and old came out to see. Some was discussing what chinese herbal will go with it other was thinking whether the skin will make good wallet. Geee .... No way, that is going into my pot and will definitely not use it to 'wrapped' my money.

Half Fixed

Our modem was gone after a heavy rain with lightning and thunder last Friday. I came home wondering why the power were cut off and then can't get hook online. This round I refrain from fixing it. The last time I took out the connections and then it seems impossible to put those zillion of wire under the table back together right.

Dear came back and after a long time of trying and of course a long conversation with the Streamyx staff, he concluded that the modem is faulty. I thought fixing a new one would be as easy as connecting a few wire to the computer. Sadly is was not the case, the job require more than just connecting those wires ....

Dear ended up spending the whole afternoon in the room, talking to some people on phone trobleshooting. Not only that, I also heard him talking to himself many times.
Thank goodness that it is finally half fixed. At least the PC is working now. And looks like we need to find some cheap monitor to replace this current one that my brother bought for me 10 years + ago. The screen will turn all black and have to bang on it a bit to get the screen back. Its quite frustrating :(

What not fixed yet ??? The connection is only working for the PC and not dear's precious apple. Oopps .. What is the problem ?? No. 1 The router is spoiled too. No.2 THE APPLE ??. Arrrr !!!! Apple stuff is sooooo $$$$$$$ !!! I wonder whether dear start to regret. Now he has to wait till next month to get it fix.

adam is so happpy

Why is adam opening his mouth so big?

Answer -because he is very happy...

P/s - First blog by Adam Tew Zhern E

Play time

The boys are addicted with their bicycle session now. Always looking forward for evening time to ride their bicycle and play with the neighbour's children outside the house.

Adam always play with a boy but did not know his name. So... he always call him " Peng Yow" which means friend. Recently he told me that his name is "Chang Ying" which means fly. I am sure he heard him wrongly :)

Trip to Aquaria

The place wasn't really spectacular but its amazing to see some of the rare marine and creepy crawlies with our own eyes. If you were there, you may wonder why a big girl is hiding behind a excited boy busy searching the creepy crawlies. What to do, I never like them near or far.

I can ride a bicycle !!!

I think it was few weeks back that Adam told me to take away those extra supporting wheels on his 'bicycle'. (I thought this is a dad's job eh.. ) The only tools that we've got at home is a screw driver, hammer and a plyer. Hmm.... little Bob says its no good and cannot fix the job. We searched for spana in the cars and were dissappointed that one side was slightly bigger and just slightly smaller on the other side. WE CAN"T FIX IT !!!

Last week, after consulting my brother we found the solution. I told him that I needed size 13 spana as 12 and 14 can't do the job. Ha... he gave me a adjustable spana and now it surely fix in. Thanks bro !!

After this hurdle, what is next. Adam seems to think that I can transform to elastic girl to hold his bicycle while he ride on. "I am very scared to fall down" he said and in turn i gave him a long lecture on how people learn through falling down. I did not convince him though.... :)

We practiced for a few days and yesterday its a magical moment for him that he suddenly managed to balance himself on the two wheels. I can see that proud face and the joy in his eyes trying to show me again how he did it. Mom !!! I got it!! Mom Look at me !!! He yelled on top of his voice. Yes !! I am surely proud of you, my boy.

I had this interesting conversation with Eden one day as he was playing with the farm animals that grandma bought for him.

Eden : Mom, what is this ?
Mom : Arr... its a cockerel, boy.
Eden : No.. what is this ?
Mom : Cockerel, boy.
Eden : No, CHICKEN !!!
Mom: No... (before I could say another further)
Eden : Mommy don't know.
Mom : .............. (speechless )

Iwood

I saw dear staring intensely at this website
for a number of times the past few months. I think he must checking out whether there are surplus supply of the wood and price has dropped tremendously. The other possible reason is that he is trying to drop hint to me which i obviously have ignored him totally.

Maybe that is why he is so environmental friendly. Recyled papers ... so that they have more supply for iwood :)

imac... ipod ... idog.. iwood...iwhat next ???

Happy Father's day

Adam and I decided to reward daddy with his favourite cake this year. We talked and talked trying to decide which cake to buy from the brouchure. The problem is, daddy seems to like all of it. And finally Adam came out with this brilliant idea.

We had a simple celebration at home as the boys have not fully recovered. Seeing the cake Eden's started to sing Happy Birthday Song. And Adam then turn the song to "Happy Father's day to you" in Happy Bithday tune.

Look at that... daddy claim that he is more muscular since he started jogging in the morning. Boys .. do you think so ??

"We all love you dad .... "

Sunshine Again

The boys had a tough 3 weeks down with high persistent fever started with Eden. At first I thought its the teeth eruption but soon found out that most of the gum area was swollen with lots of white spot. The fever stays on even after finishing first dose of antibiotic and the dr. then presribed another dose. Even with that we did not see him any better. We then decided to send him to hospital the next day but strange enough when I checked his mouth the next morning most of the swell and spots were gone.

2 days later, Adam complained having sore throat and teething pain. My very first reaction was " Not swell and white spot pleaseeeee". Very soon, they invaded his mouth and he stopped schooling since last Wednesday. Like Eden he is also on 2nd dose and I hope he is well enough for school tomorrow.

They are much better now but I see them left with skinny skeleton. Godnees, they already don't have much fat, now they are at deficit.

Odd enough, I am even happy to see them quarelling and fighthing over toys again.

Collections

Apart from seeing food in my kitchen cabinet, you won't fail to see the collections of container that I have. Not quite sure weather this is a housewife's norms but i do see the same in my mom and mother-in-law's house.

Well, dear you will find that it comes handy one day. Just the size and shape that you needed :)

Gift

It must be the chinese blood in us that we don't take gift from other so well. We will try to make sure we 'repay' the gift in due time. I still remember that my parents actually record down the names and Ang Pau given in my brother's wedding. "Well, so that we won't give anything lesser when we are invited next round" my mom told me.

We have got some 'unique' gifts from our neighbours recently.

A young malay boy came to our gate one morning and said that his mom asked to deliver the bag of bananas (grown behind the houses). Errr..... we don't even know this family that lived a few doors from us. I actually went over to say thank you later but no ones answer the doors. The givers remains a secret till today. Actually we are not sure whether the bag of bananas was meant for us. Maybe the boy make a mistake :)

Our next door neighbour helps us to water my plant when we were away.

Just yesterday, the other next door neighbour gave us some of her home baked cake.

Should I bake cake also ??

New Pet

Adam has been reminding us that we have not gotten him any fish yet and it has been long since Ozen and Willy died ( both fighthing fish given by Uncle James for his 5th birthday) So we got him some guppy fish finally and again I had to do the 'maintenance' job. I was so thrilled to find one small fry just last few days. And I wondered where has it gone hiding the next day, as I can't seems to locate it in that tiny tank. I went online to check out more infor on these fishes.

Oh Nooooo......... I don't think I am able to see that fry again.

BEAUTY

3 weeks ago, I have decided to buy for myself this beutiful roses. They are such beauty to behold. Aiyah..... but the beauty only lasted a few days. I totally had no idea what happened to it. The flower turn upsidedown, leaves turn yellow and falls.

Looks like dear have more reasons not to buy me flowers.

Option 1,2,3

I was reading a friends blog and she posted about the few options she have in mind when her contract with her employer expires. I totally understand her dilemma in making a major decision. We can buy a shirt and decides not to wear it at all then. (and we wondered why did we decide to buy it in the first place.) But to some decision that will affect our life and maybe those who we loved its difficult.

Who knows what is better for us ?? Who see the big picture of our life that we don't?? Who understood when we cannot comprehend what is going on with our life?? I can't think of anyone than the one who has created us - God. And for me it means Jesus.

I guess this post is one thing I want to do while I still have a chance. You know what I mean :)

Who AM I ??

I was asked to explain these few definations in one of the class last week. ROLE, ROLE IDENTITY, ROLE PERCEPTION, ROLE EXPECTATION. Well, in terms of definitions and explanation this few words seems simple. As I posed them questions, I direct the same questions to myself. I once again ponder on my many role identities, re-evaluate my role perception and how to manage the good and bad role expectations. Not a easy task to fit them in our life. We truly need grace and wisdom from above.

Tuna bread

When I met my friend in Hong Kong I could not resist to ask her whether she still eat bread for her breakfast like many of us here in Malaysia. Well, it started of with a can of Tuna which we had with us since we left malaysia. (As usual, we packed sufficient local supplies to UK to save some money). And on the second day in Hong Kong we decided to have a simple breakfast the next day (I think dear is thinking about saving money and I was thinking about losing that 185g tuna weight from my bag). So we both agree on having Tuna bread with Milo and Nescafe....

Arr... we just need to get a loaf of bread and we can have breakfast on bed :) We spotted a bakery shops and walked in. To our surprise they don't have those big loaf like we have here. Its in 4 slices and 8 slices pack. Looks good... fit to what I want at least. No leftover bread... just right for our tuna breakfast. We walked closer to the rack and we saw the price... dear did a quick conversion and trying hard to say it in a calm voice "5 Ringgit for 4 slices of white bread my dear". We walked out and I suggested that we should get it at supermarket perhaps. We finally came to a big supermarket and saw the same packing of bread, the difference is that it cost double than the bakery shop.

The next morning... no breakfast on bed and TC Boy Tuna can travelled with us back home :)

Trip to UK

I never put much thought that I will be following dear to UK this round. Mom will be too busy getting things done for dear's brother's wedding day and the kids will not let me go easily.

But to my surprise.... i was given the green light to go. Yeahhh !!! UK here I come again !!

Right before touching down the crew annouced that the WEATHER is BITTERLY COLD with temprature of -2C and these are the words we kept hearing the whole week there - sleet, snow and bitterly cold wind. No one would get out of the house if they are not well clothed.

Despite of the weather we still make it to Stratford upon Avon, birthplace of William shakespeare, a beautiful small town that is very near to dear's conference venue.
This is the home of William Shakespeare

The Shakespeare Hotel

The house on the right is Harvard House. Home of John Harvard founder of Harvard University.

2 months break

Looking at the date of my last post i have just realised that I have not post anything for 2 months. It must be a real serious thing eh... that a friend send me a email from afar checking whether I am alright. You must be missing me and home a lot :)

I am back to tell you my two months adventure.

Adam and friends are enjoying their New Year song. Gong Xi ... Gong Xi ... Gong Xi ni ah... !!!

Bob THe Buider Part 3

Bob .... talk to me. Don't just stare at me!!!

A ride on Scoop with Bob

The Gang

These are the girls I knew since primary 4 and some of them were together ever since kindergarden. I really can't remember why I came to joined them. English was so call the official language - everyone could speak and most of them very fluently. Me?? Err... Cantonese ah? I think, I first knew Quah ( the girl right in the middle) and then she brought me to the 'gang'.

So I basically have my Conversational English 'lesson' from them and I slowly pick up and speak the language. If you think my English is lousy, hahaha.. they are to be blame :)

We had a reunion and Birthday celebration for Christina right before Chinese New Year. Jenny was back from Japan for a few days and there we are, meeting at Mc Donalds. We missed Agnes who is in Singapore and Mun Yee in Hong Kong.

Girls... we shall all meet up again at Kit Yee's wedding :)

Gong Xi Fa Cai !!

I wonder what's gone into me this year that I was in a mood of putting up the new year decorations. We have many 'chinese' stuff hang up and even got ourselves a lime tree. Adam had voluntered to take care of it and hopefully we will have reqular supplies coming :)

Of course the boys were excited to see that I have bought back their favourite biscuits and replenished their sweets and chocolate. Adam is of course wondering how this new year will bring him extra 'fortune'.

Bob The Builder -part 2

Eden has been enjoying his blocks bulding various tall towers. The little buider will just sing and build most of the time. Need to give him some engineering lesson though - how to make good foundation. Yes ... we all need a firm foundation.

Mother in law's mission

I am definitely not a good cook but I do like cooking especially trying out new recipes. But cooking can be expensive especially when need to buy so many ingredients that would only be use in small portion. And I always wonder how long I would store them before using them again.

Mom has given me a big mission this Chinese New Year. Its some kind of chinese believe that they cannot be in 'celebrative mood' for New Year as Grandma has just passed away last year. Therefore baking of biscuit is not allowed.

Thank goodness that she only ask me to make Peanut cookies. The ingredient and the process seems very simple and I cross my finger for the outcome. I am thinking of some Anzac biscuit too. I hope I am not too ambitious.

The Fish Brothers

Adam got inspired by K's idea of family bonding and he insisted that we take a photo of him and his little brother too. Do they look like twin :) I love this photo.

First Day at Primary 1

To my surprise he is looking forward for this day. I think he must have missed his friend at school.
That's my big boy at his first day of school. That also means his and our days will start at 6am. Yes I love my bed too :) Look at that sleepy eyes.

Drive Hazard

Dear and I have been debating about this issue for quite some time. He has somehow develop the habit or reading on the road and he thinks its a good way not to waste any precious moments while not driving. But how much can one read in that few seconds?? ie whle waiting for the lights to turn green. Well, the pasengers in the cars were assigned duties too.

1) Inform him the second that the light turn green.
2) Be ready to hold the paper when he chuck it a side in order to drive.
3) Pass paper to him whenever he is 'FRee'

Boys I really hope you don't catch this habit from your old man. Dad says Newspaper is a souce of Information. Mom says its a source of Accident. Agree ??

Break or Work at home ?

Semester break started but I have not feel the 'break'. Desserted the house cleaning for some time due to sickness and loads of replacement class for the public holidays.

A friend offered to have her maid over to help. Arrr.... but she won't be here until after New Year ... Sigh !!! So looks like dear will be seeing me with broom for at least some days.

There's some toching moments (sob.. sob..) the last week of tutorial class where they bid me goodbye with handshake and thank you. The surprise came in where some girls came and hug me and I really felt so touch and happy. At least I know its not just entering the class to provide answer but being there for them, guiding them - relationship was established over the last 3 months.

Some of them has introduced me to Frienster to keep contact. I told them I only know ICQ (that's famous during my teenage time but according to them its VERY outdated). Wish them well in the exam which starts tomorrow.

Boy oh boy, i just wonder where did he get the idea that he must look good on his birthday. He slept at 6pm and woke up at 9am for his Big day. (look at the smile)

And of course another big smile when he sees his wonderful friend Bob on the cake.

Happy 2nd Birthday.

But I am sure he don't need a dog as I am there to accompany him. Maybe i need to improved on the dancing part but hey I can sing along hey !!!

The joy of giving

We normally take ages to decide what to get as Christmas gift. And will still be wrapping up the presents on eve it self. This year has been different, not sure its the christmas tree that we had at home for the first year or shopping with 2 boys press us to decide fast.

Can you spot your name on the presents boys ?? Lets prepare our hearts for the King's bithday.
